“She had a son,” he said. “Born April 18, 1984. St. Agnes Hospital in Brooklyn. She named him Samuel.”
Julian could not breathe.
Clara looked up at him. “Daddy?”
Julian’s adoption papers had listed his birth date as April 18, 1984. His original name had been sealed, then later released to him in a partial file.
