“For the house. Half of them barely eat.”
“Great. Maybe the other half can cook.”
His smile faded. “I need appetizers, ribs, salads, cocktails, and your layered cake.”
“It’s my fortieth birthday. Can’t I have something special — especially from my wife?”
“And this is my broken leg.”
